Consulting Supervisor Certification Information
If you are interested in becoming a TMAATT Consulting Supervisor you must:

  • Be a licensed clinical therapist for a minimum of 2 years

  • Have a minimum of two years of previous supervision experience in a mental health setting 

  • Be in good standing with TMAATT

  • Have held a MBATT certification for at least 2 years

  • Your clinical license is in good standing

  • Your liability insurance is up-to-date

  • You have not had any license disciplinary action over the previous two year time period

If you meet the requirements as listed above, you are welcome to begin your Consulting Supervision training, starting with Video Course 1, see below.

NEXT STEPS:

  1. Register for the Consulting Supervisor Training via this page

  2. Complete the consulting supervisor three part certification video course as outlined below

  3. Complete the three TMAATT CS online exams 

  4. Complete the Consulting Supervisor application

  5. Submit the required paperwork to info@tmaatt.com

  6. Pay the final application fee of $150

Consulting Supervisor Certification Course Overview

NOTE: As a way to support our MBATTs who would like to be certified as consulting supervisors, we are offering a discounted rate for those who enroll in all three levels of CS trainings. The total cost will be $295, compared to the standard price of $375. If you would like this discount, you may register for all three levels here. 

To assist our busy MBATTs who are interested in becoming a TMAATT certified consulting supervisor, the CS certification course is presented through three video sessions facilitated by Darrin Ford, founder of TMAATT, and is accompanied by a short online exam after each video. Each video is between 50 minutes and 90 minutes in length.

Through this video training we aim to provide a time-efficient and convenient certification process for MBATTs aspiring to become certified consulting supervisors with TMAATT. Please review the following:

The TMAATT Consulting Supervision Video Training Course includes

CS Video Training 1: This 50 min. training video will focus on a review of the Level I MBATT and MBRC certification training concepts. This includes a review and update for:

  • Mind states and mind stories

  • The concept of equanimity 

  • Review of mindfulness based terminology 

  • Mindfulness based interventions and strategies

  • Trauma reduction strategies 

  • Legal and ethical considerations

Note: A short exam must be completed at the end of the video

CS Video Training 2: This 90 minute training video will focus on a review of the Level II MBATT and MBRC certification training concepts. This includes a review of the key concepts in the 8 Domains of Recovery, and how to incorporate the domain worksheets into the therapist treatment planning and clinical work:

  • Domain 1: Focus

  • Domain 2: Money

  • Domain 3 Self and Others
    Domain 4: Nutrition

  • Domain 5: Sexuality

  • Domain 6: Intoxicating Substances

  • Domain 7: Somatic 

  • Domain 8: Sleep and Rest

Note: A short exam must be completed at the end of the video

CS Video Training 3: This training video is approximately 75 minutes will focus on the role of the consulting supervisor, taking into consideration the following important areas of TMAATT consulting supervision:

  • Polyvagel Theory Consulting Supervision

  • Integrating Trauma Consulting Supervision

  • Moving Into Compassion (TAM) Consulting Supervison

  • C.A.T.I. Interview Consulting Supervision

  • Couples Consulting Supervision

  • Advanced Meditative Practices Consulting Supervision

  • Identify skillful characteristics of the supervisor
