Form 1: The MBATT Scholar’s Initial Assessment Form is to be completed by the Main Consulting Supervisor at the end of the MBATT scholars first supervision session with their Main CS

Form 2: The verification of MBATT Scholar Hours Form is to be completed by a consulting supervisor prior to the MBATT Scholar attending Level III.

Breakdown of TMAATT Scholar’s Required Hours

TMAATT Supervision Hours breakdown for Certified (or candidates) CSAT/CPTT/APSATS:

10 hours of total Consulting Supervision for CPTT/CSAT therapists or candidates.

5 of the 10 hours must be individual.

5 of the 10 hours can be done via group.

All 10 can be done individually if the TMAATT scholar prefers.

12 hours of total Consulting Supervision for APSATS therapists or coaches.

5 of the 12 hours must be individual.

5 of the 12 hours can be done via group.

All 12 can be done individually if the APSATS scholar prefers.

There are no Facetime requirements for CPTT/CSAT/APSATS therapists or coaches.

TMAATT Supervision Hours Breakdown for *NON* CSAT/CPTT/APSATS Scholars:

20 hours of total TMAATT Consulting Supervision for NON IITAP/APSATS Mental Health Professionals

10 of the 20 hours must be individual supervision

5 of the 20 hours must be done in person, via Zoom, Skype or Facetime.

5-10 hours can be done via group supervision

All 20 hours can be done via individual supervision as well.

How to Become a

TMAATT Certified Consulting Supervisor

Our TMAATT Consulting Supervisors support an important role for the TMAATT organization and the MBATT scholars. CSs work with the MBATT scholars as they move through the three training levels by providing mindfully attuned, compassionate consulting while sharing their expertise in assisting the scholar in the clinical application of mindfulness based addiction and trauma therapy.

Here are the steps for certified MBATTs interested in becoming a TMAATT Consulting Supervisor:

1. Completed the three levels of the MBATT training.

2. Completed the required consulting supervision hours (see the above information in Section 1)

3. Have been awarded the MBATT certification

4. Have supervised clinical staff or employees for a minimum of 2 years in a current or previous professional role

5. Have completed two years of applying the MBATT mindfulness addiction and trauma in your clinical work

6. Is a licensed therapist (Masters or PhD level)

7. Is in good standing with TMAATT

8. Is in good standing with your professional board

9. Have completed the TMAATT Consulting Supervision 4 hour Web Based Training (*information located here).

10. Have completed the 4 hours of required supervision with a Senior Certified Consulting Supervisor

11. Have received a good evaluation from their Senior Certified Consulting Supervisor

12. Have completed the application, completed the agreement form, submitted the required paperwork, and remitted the processing payment of $125
