MBATT & MBRC Level II Training Information

The next Level II training opens on February 5 through May 27, 2024. TMAATT scholars will have 16 weeks to complete Level II.

Level II Training Information & Policies:

• The MBATT and MBRC Level II certification training is online and available to TMATT scholars who have completed the Level I training. 

• Level II MBATT/MBRC scholars attend each of the Level II 8 training domains virtually while working closely with their consulting supervisor (please see consulting supervisors’ contact information toward the end of this section).

• The MBATT/MBRC Level II training is open for 16 weeks (see above dates) to give each MBATT/MBRC scholar ample time to complete each of the 8 training domains while working with their consulting supervisor through each domain.

• Each of the 8 domains is supported with videos and worksheets, while working with a TMAATT consulting supervision. Each scholar can pace themselves according to their own schedule and comfort level.

• Additionally, there are 8 bi-monthly Zoom 90-minute training support groups led by founder Darrin Ford that are facilitated twice a month during the 16 week Level II training (see above dates). The groups are scheduled every other Friday per month for all TMATT scholars during Level II.

These groups are included in the Level II registration fee, and there is no additional charge for the bi-monthly groups. It is not mandatory for TMAATT scholars to attend all or any of the bi-monthly groups, they are available as an additional support during the Level II training time period. 

Level II Consulting Supervision: Please note that the bi-monthly training support groups are separate from consulting supervision and do not count toward supervision. Reminder: there are 8 hours of consulting supervision required before attending Level III. Consulting Supervisor information is located here.

Level II CE Information: For MBATT clinical therapist scholars who would like Level II CE credits you must attend all 8 bimonthly training groups to receive the 12 CEUs. There will not be partial CEUs given. If you do not need CEUs, you are still welcome to attend any or all of the 8 groups, however, if you would like the 12 CEUs for Level II, then you must attend all 8 groups. Please remember that the bi-monthly support groups are not mandatory, rather they are available as an additional, no cost support for all scholars.

Other Information: While Level II is self paced in order to support each scholar’s schedule, it is recommended that each scholar plan on completing two domains per month and schedule two consulting supervision sessions per month to complete Level II within the allotted 16 weeks (4 month) time period. Scheduling this way is a practical and achievable pace that supports even the busiest scholars.

Mindfulness Based Recovery Coaches" MBRC

Mindfulness Based Recovery Coach Certification, the MBRC, is now open for registration.

The MBATT/MBRC Certification Training is organized into three levels of researched based training designed to teach the therapist or coaches, how to incorporate research based, mindfulness tools and practices into the therapist/coach’s addiction and trauma therapy work in order to help clients gain long term recovery.

This certification is for Therapists or coaches who specialize in addiction recovery and betrayal trauma, and meet the following criteria

• The Therapist or a coach holds a certification through an accredited coaching organization such as the Federation of Coaching

• The Therapist or a coach has been trained through the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialist (APSATS)

• Therapist who are certified CSATS or CPTTS are given a 100 discount as well.The MBRC online training begins on Friday, October 21, 2002
